       Evolution

In this grand-wide world,
where ‘life’ has witnessed
600 million years of
restless sun and moon
on the rise and fall…

in both directions
beyond this moment,
there is still only
the ‘deep-time’ void.

I often think of that deep-time as an incredible fullness, rather than a void.
Another ponderful write, poet.

Secondhanddreampoet,

Very true.  Look out for that black hole, it'll crunch ya.

This is a very good write.

600 million years is such a short time.  It seems just like yesterday.

Hey !   How'd this one slip by me?
Very fine write, Poet. For some reason, it reminded me of TS Eliot writing about the "still point in the turning world", "where the dance is."
