Photobucket

Sometimes I'm afraid to go out there,
not knowing if I'll ever come back.
Life hurts me so and I can't seem
to get myself on the right track.

Places in my past haunt me well
and the future is uncertain,
and when I try to think about
'just today' it gets me hurtin'.

I'm afraid to be alone these days
but sometimes people are so cruel,
so I say 'silence is golden'
and keep it a general rule.

Sometimes I'm afraid to go out there
and I am afraid of what I'll do,
so it's better just to be alone-
another day to stumble through.

Good afternoon Dixie...being alone is not so bad. After all you have to like being with yourself before you can be with others comfortably.

You need to push ahead as alot of us are doing in these hard economic times. They can't last forever...

assuredly, far too many of us amid this "Runaway American Dream" can especially relate to:

"Sometimes I'm afraid to go out there,
not knowing if I'll ever come back.
Life hurts me so and I can't seem
to get myself on the right track(!)"

applause for this very real, honest, and effectively emotional 'penning!'
