On it's wings it
came, slicing through clouds
pewter, preceding the shaft
that opened up behind
it's tail, it's very
own searchlight stretching just
ahead of the gull
as it wiffled wildly.
The moment transporting me
to a safe place,
away from a mind
distant, flung on the
wind far like the
gulls that animate my
lonely skies marbled paper.

This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever... 1 John 2:17

NICE! This is when you are at your best, if I may say so, Phil, when you immerse yourself in a nature write.

Goldenrose,

This is most beautiful.  It's a keeper, so I am keeping it in my library.

Art..it is good to be back...and is always a pleasure to write, post and be acknowledged by people...all we really need is to be recognised and converse with those people who are important to us..the people of PIP are among those important to me..

Peace be with you..

Linda..thank you very much for the gull picture...dont you think that gulls almost look lonely when flying alone? The way they fly in slow motion almost seems solemn? Perhaps it is just the way i was feeling when i saw them for the poem..dont listen to me..

May God bless you for your kindness..

Goldenrose.

Yes, I do agree that a lone gull looks lonely. However, this one was with dozens of other gulls! lol I cropped and then enlarged it so that I could single this one out!

I am an avid seagull watcher! I have a gorgeous porcelain one that I adore. I have written about seagulls and painted them as well.

Your poem was lovely and I shall now take the opportunity to save it!

Love & Seagull Light,

Linda
