Lilac Scented Sheets

Almost telepathic,
The heart communication that has led me
Through the soft slopes of passing time
And leaves my senses hungry to commune
With the nurturing blooms of spring
Wind chime notes know songs that only I could sing
Standing with a new meadow afoot
Regalia magnetized where nature’s charms are put
And I write, and I write
To cleanse from the inside of my soul
The aptitude of love’s majestic altitude
For if I strip away all the most of potent memories
Making room for what is yet to come, life’s remedies
Assume the sounds of never ending promises, like rain
Forgiving while restoring tempo bound to claim
So here, I lay my heart on lilac scented sheets

Lilacs are my favorite flower. I can almost smell lilacs when I read this lovely poem.

Normally, I am not a big fan of flowers
unless they are the ones that I hide behind
my back for someone special....(I make sure
the horns are missing...other than those
on my head)
