afternoons seep to sinful then
when you are the gypsy whisper
of terra cotta's envy

saint mary of samba evenings
with your bosom bare horizon
soothing the saliva of sundown

that laps at your quiet pools
then gathers in your laughter
waiting to see what is seen

as a secret seldom revealed
to worshiping eyes that often kneel
at the brim of your presentations

sacrificing the stone of their idols

This is a beautiful poem -- and it is my goodnight story.

Thank you for wrapping me up in words to carry me to my nighttime dreams.
