The wind rips through the corridors of my mind
Relentless in unhinging doors long barred

Memories flood like raging whitewater
No beginning no end

On my knees, I beg for mercy
The storm finally abates

Leaving shards of memories littering my mind
Like the falling leaves of an autumn snap

Left for me to sift through once again
Which ones shall I keep this time?

Firestorm-

Wonderful! Some of my favorite memories are burning piles of leaves in the fall.  I was sad to see their colors disappear, but the incense of their demise was an even greater remembrance.
