Shall not force me
In the season of
Soft early spring
The warm smile of the colors
Have quietly dreamed through
Whole winter clouds
To give you a poem

Just don’t force me
The melted stream is not my thought
Of that rose mirrored out
The same swirl of reflection
Of light
To wave you a shined whisper

Just don’t force me
A word in such tenderness
Would be torn into million pieces
In the cold steel hand
from a Pentium heart
In my memory

But you forced me
you did

My dear Lady T,your opening stanza was a beautiful 'birthing' to your poem!

"Shall not force me
In the season of
Soft early spring
The warm smile of the colors
Have quietly dreamed through
Whole winter clouds
To give you a poem"

In all fairness to your poem, I adored each stanza! I do so enjoy reading poems about poems!~ and poets! This one was uniquely special ~ and a

LadyTom,

Thanks so much for the shined whisper.  It’s always a great pleasure to read your poems.  Felix likes them too.

Lady,

Thank you so much for the beautiful compliment. What you must know, is that there are several wonderful poets at PiP that I am learning from...along with a lot of reading of poets from the past, and our contemporaries outside of PiP. Keep reading, keep writing...

but yes, dear...you did make me Shine...
