At the shore of your vastness

*

Still out of breath I halt
at the shore of your vastness,
after riding the white mare
along the paths of desire,
through virgin forests
damp with innocence
and wildflowers’ scent.

With the smoothness of eons
sand grains caress my feet,
ceaseless waves nudge me
as if playing hide and seek.
Upon my lashes drops of dew
reverberate a lilac horizon,
my sigh of uninhibited awe
ripples the quiet of your gaze.

Here I am with heart and soul
a tiny offspring of the Whole,
I stretch towards you my rising sun,
to be wrapped in your arms of light.
I know you would seek me out
even if I was part of a crowd …
for this immense eternal Love
shines upon every single soul,
dipping it into unique colours,
equally dear to the Source of All.

At the shore of your vastness,
being just me as well as all together,
inundated by infinity
I share in the breath of Universe.

Maga Margherita, I behold the expansive and collective beauty of the All of your write, with awe.

"At the shore of your vastness,
being just me as well as all together,
inundated by infinity
I share in the breath of Universe."

Amen

Dear Margherita,  I'm so glad I'm here long enough to enjoy this wonderful penning of yours.  I just know I'll search it out again when technology allows.  Truly lovely pic and words!

I truly wish there was a way to go back into a reply post to Save a poem, if you neglected to do so in the first place. It would be less embarrassing for absent-minded readers like I. Sheesh!

Mama Mia.....if Michael Angelo had used a pen instead of a paintbrush, this is how the ceiling in the sistine chapel would look

I agree with John, Margharita. You painted the sitine chapel of my mind with this one.

Each word paints a picture of pure beauty.  I didn't see the photo until I was done reading the poetry -- and you, my friend, are a talented word artist.

I love this painting you painted.

“after riding the white mare
along the paths of desire”- this is all I need. I rise from the sea of depression. From my hair the salt of grief dropping still. Thank you for your poem that shows the power of beauty.
“with heart and soul
a tiny offspring of the Whole”- you have so correct, dearest. We are the tiny bits of the eternity and as such are the ethereal light of eternity ourselves.

clever talks delay friendship!

Margherita,

This shows nothing less than a magnificient penning of the greatness and beauty around us.  WoW!!!!

(Thanks to Earth Angel, I'll try to remember to click the library box first when I post.  I, notoriously, forget to, and agree it'd be nice to have a way to fix it without showing my absent-mindedness.)

  Enjoyed immensely!

hugs,

a 'Universalist' !

I particularly love the ending!:

"At the shore of your vastness...
inundated by infinity
I share in the breath of Universe."

sounds like a grand-fine touch of the "Universalism" paradigm to me
[we are one with each other, all of Gaia-life, and the cosmos...transience,
  flux, 'interconnectedness'...are the 'certain certainties'!]

applause for this 'penning!
