Dreams are like a God-send
if we can only understand
but it’s like the mind retains
the feel of ages past
when lovers loved and lived
in well founded certainty.

Another face, another name,
but I am not dismayed
or confused by the dream
for the feel is still the same,
the reaching up the same,
and that knowing overtakes
night time trickery.

I think again another life
will find me finding you
and so it is for every one
who well and truly loved
before the quirks of life
made of the together
two separate parts.

You love me, yes, you love me not,
no happy daisy chain this lot
that stretches for a million years
and brings in the yearn and want
time and time again.

Option one, no, maybe two,
perhaps I’ll think there is a way
to live today like yesterday
and carry over happiness
but, but, but, I sure do know
how creative love can be
and so I wait; please wait with me
until love moves with the times
that once fulfilled a life!

Thanks Roniece.  Perhaps it's something that had to be said because my computer has remained stable enough for me to write it.

dear friend your poetry definitely has the power of simplicity, it is difficult to write simple poems with such deep feelings. i love :the mind retains
the feel of ages past
when lovers loved and lived
in well founded certainty.

clever talks delay friendship!

Dear Helen, so good your pc resists!! This is a wonderful poem and it most certainly speaks to many a heart!
I believe this yearning - which seems can't ever be totally satisfied - is the yearning for the absolute perfection of God. He shines through us whenever we love. May we love enough!

love and hugs

Hello Helen...I've missed reading you.  Is it you that's been missing, or I? A thought-filled and emotive poem... A contract made in the place beyond form, always causes searching for a way to make it happen, me thinks.

Honey, it was a pleasant surprise to find a new penning of yours, this morning!

"Perhaps I’ll think there is a way
to live today like yesterday
and carry over happiness"

~ Now that would be an innovative technique that would guarantee you millions of dollars!

Keep the faith, Darlin'! The power is in your hands! ~ and in your dreams!

Love to you!

Thank you all so much for your lovely replies.  The computer's gone again so, yes, it just had to be said.  Seems that it's not too bothered about saying thank you but I am so I've made a plan.

I shall sorely miss my old pc but I guess it's time to move on and tackle Vista.  Thank you all again and know I shall miss all your wonderful words until I'm back in the "saddle" again.

Love
Helen

Oh thank you!  I see new vistas all the time because nothing stays the same but this, of course, is based on how I'm thinking at the time.  I mean, a tree is a tree, but how differently it appears when the mind and emotions are allowed to be free!

Helen...I just hooked up my new Vista.  It's wonderful not to fear constant creashes.

Martie - we have to move with the times or else we get left behind but sometimes I'd like to just stick with what I know.  "Change or die" and I think that's worth noting on a spiritual level too for those who are somewhat complacent but I'm no expert on stuff like that.

Hugs to you dear lady!
