Letter to the Wind

  an old road
  disappears into
  the forest-heart
  of Nature,
  passing only
  into deep winter
  and a distant
    dream,
  it is there I post
  a letter to the
   wind.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

You made me smile with this one.  You've earned the "He Made Bobby Smile" medal for the day.

Wear it with pride.

"You've earned the "He Made Bobby Smile" medal for the day."

~ All other replies that you would receive would be downhill from there! lol

Might I just take a stab at it and say, "BRAVISSIMO"

Some say, we should never travel backwards.  The wind will take all dreams forward.  Well done.

It doesn't get much better than receiving the
"He Made Bobby Smile" award for the day, and it's well deserved. This is a fine write.

thank you all for your 'comment/reply' posts on this 'write!'...
that title has been 'bouncing around' in my brain-attic for
WAY too long...finally, I think I found the 'poem' to fit it?!

Bruce,

I could have sworn that I responded to this poem.  I guess I was tired - this is incredible. It might be my favorite of yours - it's hard to say, but I do know this.  I am saving it.

Lovely, my friend. Simply lovely.

Letter to Wind
Would you go knock on that door (on one’s heart)?
Would you go through that opened window to wake him up (from his dream)?
Would you wipe away the useless pages and the dust (of the past) ?
Would you tunnel out the condensed emotion?
Would you deliver the sound of tomorrow?
Would you now bring back the spring?
