     The Blizzard

Soft-silent snow
falling from the ebony
  void

vagabond flakes
dancing arabesques
for the winter wind

Infinite white emptiness
masking all inequity…

serene reclamation!

love the feeling... we haven't had a "pretty snow" in awhile...just the icy kind and cold winds.

Secondhanddreampoet,

This takes me back to the blizzard of 1996 here in the city.  36" of snow.

Even though we are God's special people here in the city, he sometimes dumps on us.

mini-blizzards are fun! but not the serious blizzards that dump several feet of the white stuff!

I don't know how I missed this one, Bruce.
Must be sleeping on the job. Enjoyed as always.

I can't choose a favorite series of lines in this poem. This so beautifully captures the essence of a snowstorm.

Beautiful description like most of your work
