BOTTLE AND PEN Whiskey bottle in front of me A pen held in my hand Trying so hard to write about Those things I can't understand. The whiskey gives some warmth And the pen, it speaks my mind Life’s not what I expected I’d hoped for a different kind. Oh, the bottle gives some comfort But it answers with a lie And the pen writes untrue answers To all those questions, “Why?” I should be most anywhere Than sitting in this bar Out, tryin’ to meet new people No matter who they are. I have so much love in my heart That, I can’t drink away And so many things, that this ol’ pen Will never, ever say! Oh, the bottle gives some comfort But it answers with a lie And the pen writes untrue answers To all those questions, “Why?” Del "Abe" Jones Mankind's greatest accomplishment is not the revolution of technology, it is the evolution of creativity. |

I have so much love in my heart That, I can’t drink away And so many things, that this ol’ pen Will never, ever say You do share the love that is in your heart, dear Abe! This is poignant and I am sure there is a way to make others sip of your love, so that the bottle will be of lesser and lesser importance. No one will ever have the perfect replies to all the "whys", so don't torment yourself.... surrender to inner peace. I hope this is not your case, but no doubt there are many lonely souls who can relate to this impressive write. Love Margherita  |

There are no real answers, Abe, with the bottle or without, and when you think you've figured out an answer using the currently available knowledge they change the rules on you and present some new knowledge. You just have to learn to roll with the punches, at least this is what I think Ida |
