It's a miracle what the earth gives
From water, sun and seed,
The beauty of flowers that paint the earth
And food that fills our needs

I haven't the touch for growing
But love seeing the garden grow
Watching the seeds turn into plants
A miracle of life from soil

I do my gardening late at night
Fill my basket with fruits from labor
Besides it is the safest time
(Cuz the garden is my neighbor's)

You just said that the war was not at your shore, Obviously because you took it into your neighborhood.

You swine, you blinking toerag
You thieving git to boot
And there was I left thinking
That the birds had nicked me fruit!

I wouldn’t mind a robin
Chomping on me pears
But a a cheeky chump gives me the hump
Robbing stuff that’s just not theirs.

But what really boils me blood sir
In this tale of toil and strife
Is the only thing left blooming
Is me blooming nagging wife!

EDIT - after protests\threats from Anne (my wife).

The writer wishes to point out that this is a work of pure fiction and his wife, although certainly blooming, is not now, nor has ever been, a nagging wife.

Toerag,

It's not very well written, but it did entertain me.  That's important, as I do like to be entertained.
