A pebble

Under the blue moon
I watch you.
I watch your stillness
Through the passing water.

How many years of your silence
Were how much love I held
In my dream.

If I could pick you up
To make a good throw,

Would you sink
To the deepest bottom of my heart
After two or three ripples
To anchor my thought?

TomMark,

This is very nice.  What a lucky pebble that would be.

I agree with all the previous comments & I am slightly envious of anyone who can say so much with so few words...

Thomas, you old romantic you! I adore this, Well done my friend, you are not a pebble, you are a rock !! it reminded me of a line from an old CSN song, “ My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain...”

Fine writing....
John
