Almost Spring

The closer come the warmer days, the farther you have traveled
Snow shaken from the limbs it weighs, as winter's grip unraveled
As time reflects its relevance in every melted drop
And every seed awakens then, perennial the crop
The weather changes randomly, from blustered breath to tear
Emotions stored among the clouds grow greater through the year
Each leaf unfurls palm up to catch the sunshine as it comes
Before we know it, flowers bud, each follow different drums
The looking forward keeps good time while miracles are made
Condensed of all the laughter stored, then suddenly displayed
Along the path walked heart and soul, most reverent shall be
The greatest gift, with all my heart, most faithfully to see

"Along the path walked heart and soul" . . . a beautiful stroll with you, indeed!  Beautiful spring poetry!

Loved this. I feel like I hold my breath during the depths of winter, and let it free in the spring. You really did capture this!

******************
wondeful words, in particular that image of little leaf kind of
parallel to the beauty and innocense, faith in the world that catches her/him we see in that same palm of the newborn

You made me see and hear Nature's whispers and splendor.

Exquisite work, dear TD.

TD, talk about hiding your light under a bushel! This must have been hibernating & I am so glad the warm spring sun made it blossom so eloquently...immensely enjoyed
