the sky is large, well connected
prolific floridity of communication
emotional impact of waiting
investing what mainstreams potential

you could never see that budding
in the icy veins of winter
no longer wearing those low cut gowns
didn't need to prove I held 2 aces

i still see the sky line in my dreams
greyhounds of heaven
getting fuller
more significant
but you would never understand
switching conversations to
rapturous excursions
yours...
you never kept me safe and warm
not even close
it was a line you strung
like Christmas lights
over and over

there is a sea chest of prophetic matter
big time clients making death packs
rising to the next plain of existence
attempting mental self preservation

rather then a fatal attraction of
complicated relationships,
quirky characters, and wry humor
laughing
Unexpected turns became worse,
With your arms around me
Showing me 85 ways to die

Alone…

my sky is large…i'm in kansas
clicking my heals three times
there are no trap doors
or shadows in the morning
don't need to feed any egos
or silent cries….or out of pocket expenses
impending
unlikely
looming
the day you backed into my car
remember?

don't call me when you need a place to stay
I'm not
that
1-800-BABE

you always did fail to see, what was right under your eyes
I wrote for you, at one time,
but then it became
a love affair with god…his 7 keys to success
there is no price for freedom

the unknown is a
beautiful mind
high stepping suspense,
deep spiritual codes
a full circle
like a precognitive stock market
of light, voice, and song

my midsummer dreams

do you hear me?...mine...

nomadic ways

becomes me...
I'm no longer hungry
for lies

Oh LeeJ, this whole piece is a heartache ballad.
Lines such as those highlighted above are powerfully emotive.
Peaceful thoughts for you, friend.

Lee, I am always so much in awe of your talent and the richness of your poetry, that I often find it difficult to pen a reply that adequately expresses that awe!

Lines such as ~

"you could never see that budding
in the icy veins of winter"

~ are so uniquely creative and expressive.

Your closing words had great impact and I felt them to my core ~

"I'm no longer hungry
for lies"

~ and neither am I.

Big, warm, loving, compassionate hug-o-love,
Linda

Lee J.,

I haven't been around here very much lately, but when I've stopped by, I've checked to see if you have posted.  I had been wondering where you were and had hoped you'd post again...   It's good to read your writing again.  Your unique imagery and great lines have always been something I've always looked forward to...

This is a good poem whether one analyses it or just feels it.

LeeJ,

This works well as a stream of consciousness poem.  I like it.

Dear Lee, I just loved this my friend, so very well expressed, made me relate when being honest to myself, life is a lonely place at times, the mind is our haven and hope our friend.
Have a great day.

Lee,

This is so beautiful. I just feel it as I read and as I get caught up in each line.

I am so glad that I stopped and now can save this.  It is among the best that I have read.
