Between the Lines

0 posted 2008-02-23 10:02 AM

I have no photo to share of you,
to wake to when morning arrives.
Just memories of the last of touch,
to warm me during long drives.

Its been a gift, the friendship of you,
a healing of sorts to embrace
and bring back the me that awaits a new Spring,
committed tomorrow to face.

My words are not heard, those I say to myself
often to keep spirits raised
when loneliness enters the gentle of mind
as I seek to "keep-on-keeping" unfazed.

Lasting thoughts, as I sit here alone
wondering if voice I'll soon hear,
a melody to warm the cold
so dreams will again, reappear.

Beautifully expressed longing, dear Maureen.
May the dreams manifest!

It seems a bit hard to believe that a lovely lady such as you sits alone, but

luck is just around the corner. Take care.

Your smile alone, can warm anything
sooner than you know it will be spring
and the warmth of spring will shine on your face
then the cold will surely be erased.

Awww sweetie, big hugs to you.

An especially pleasant, emotional 'write!'

I am especially fond of:

"Its been a gift, the friendship of you,
a healing of sorts to embrace
and bring back the me that awaits a new Spring,
committed tomorrow to face."

applause!!

I enjoyed this read and thought dear friend, I can so relate, to talk up the world in your mind, to raise the spirit but not the joy. Will ponder on this a while, have a wonderful day with happiness, I wish it for you.

M-
We get lost in yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow. All three keep us going at different times.  Enjoyed this!
