Orbit

She only shines her eyes at night
walking home, she blazes my path with light
the magnetic pull between us
you can feel the tug all the way to Venus

And when she appears in my sky
I can't help but wonder why
she's up there anyway
spilling her color into the endless grey
pulling the tides within me
at all the wonder in her

She orbits 'round my heart all day
I await darkness for her sweet smile to say
that I mean something to her
and promise that she'll keep in my sky forever

When she comes shining into night
I know I will live again in that lovely light
her pure white glowing Yang
to my loser Yin heart goin' out without a bang

Unseen
the space between
an invisible tether
connected to her
and I get pulled into a swirl
maybe I'm the one in orbit,
revolving around this girl
Gotta find the center of my universe
before this violent thump in my heart
gets any worse

She only shines her eyes at night
I'm waking up here alone to a mournful sight
the heavenly body of her
orbits far beyond, leaving a lonely winter

It's her that I've been looking for
hoping for a peaceful end to this inner war
I'm a victim of a burning heart
only her healing hands can return me to the start

Sing
a song of spring
to bring the sun to my sky
back in my eyes
and pull me into this swirl
dreamily I'm stuck orbit
revolving around this girl
I find she's the center of my galaxy
spiraling into the insanely brilliant light
she brings to me
