She didn't miss a single puddle,
ran through each and every one
and I couldn't even scold her,
She was having so much fun.
She got her shoes all wet
but how bad can that possibly be?
Watching her brought back memories
of how much fun rain puddles are
when you are only three.

I was hanging out in the mall a few evenings ago with some friends in the food court and couldn't help but notice the younger ones running around all full of energy...when you're young it takes a long time to realize how tired you are making yourself...as you age it becomes evident much sooner...James

Cute!

Jumping in puddles is fun, Only until your very soaked. But the splashing is fun, lol

I enjoyed the child story.

Ida~
I'm grinning with fond memories~

I used to plan puddle-jumping excursions with the little ones in our area ... LOL ... what fun 'we' had ... yeppers, I still love a good muddle-puddle romp~
Time to do it again with my grandie girlies~

We end up having a great big mud-ball fling too~
I don't guess I ever outgrew those puddles~

Thank you all for your comments. Karina is my great granddaughter. I watch her sometimes and she is a lot of fun. Keeps me young at heart.

Ida,

Very cute poem.

That is what rain puddles are for.  I used to like the muddy ones myself.

Delightful post, dear Ida! One of the joys of
having children, is being able to once again
do some of the fun things of childhood with them! My daughters and I loved to go out in the rain and splash in the puddles and catch raindrops on our tongues. We would get soaken wet. I would them give them a warm bubble bath and some hot chocolate!

A precious poem about precious moments.

Dear Ida, enjoyed this greatly! I had given my sweet and wonderful Mom the nickname "Pfützchen" which means "little puddle" just to express the happiness she provided. Though it seemed a little bit "extreme" between us we loved it!
Thank you for making her revive within me with your very lovely poem.

love

I love this, Ida.  Some place on these pages I have a similar poem about one of my younger friends at the age of three and mud puddles.

This poem warms my heart.  I am so glad that you are among us.
