The Proposition of Composition
~*Marge Tindal*~

He asked so softly,
that I thought I had heard him incorrectly
Then he took my hands and said to my eyes
~Please, please love me~

~I am not free to love you~
for another tugs the strings of my heart
But, oh if I were ever again free
what music we could make

I half-heartedly smiled,
he turned to go
and yet in turning, stayed
~I will wait for the music
when will we compose?~

I don't know why, but I turned this into objects such as a piano, or a guitar, and of course the person caught without their musical muse in the middle.  Anyway, whatever way you read this - it was lovely.  I liked the idea applied to animate or inanimate.  When you can read it several ways it is sheer poetry.

I said once, somewhere, that "I gotta hear the music" to write. And this is exactly what I was talking about. I think this is one of your best. But then, I'm not biased or anything.

I do believe this one makes you a "virtuoso".

A lovely poem Marge but the grass on the other side of the fence is not always as

green as we might think, but it is nice to dream. Loved it

Marge, this is such a beautiful poem of
romance. I loved reading it. It's so good
reading your work again. Thank you.

Thanks to each of you~

As I was reminded, sometimes the words are not mine, but simply stop for a dip in my inking-well~

I do what I do with them, knowing that when I turn them loose they will hurry on to where they belong~

Such is the case with this one~

Don't ya' just LOVE being a poet ??
Me too~
