Resonating with the chords of life,
thoughts immersed
in another dimension of space-time,
I am transported to a place holier than the Mount,
where I see vibrant olive trees
ablaze in a golden maze of Peace,
hear cascading harmonies
in the waterfall of diversity,
endlessly pooling into a bass line
echoing the pulse
of love.

Would that music could
change the world.
'Imagine'
joyful sounds of peace
encircling the globe,
replacing the cacophony
of war.

a most fine ‘penning!’…

I am especially fond of all the imagery in:

“Resonating with the chords of life,
thoughts immersed
in another dimension of space-time…

cascading harmonies
in the waterfall of diversity…

echoing the pulse
of love…

Would that music could
change the world…

joyful sounds of peace
encircling the globe,
replacing the cacophony
of war.”

Applause for this ‘write!’

Kacy,

this resonates deeply...

from top to bottom, and
vice-versa.

Hi Kacy!  In a class I took once while I was learning how to teach, I read this..."music hath charms to sooth the savage beast".  It's true...at least with children. A very thoughtfilled poem.

Too fast the hate

can’t wait to take

I see a fist rising from the nest

where babies are blessed

How many quiet voices

know how to sing

If music could bring

Peace

     Peace

the song to world       a hymn of grace

This write is especially timely with the visit of US musicians to North Korea. Music, as many arts, is an international language of peace.

Midnitesun, this is beautifully and thoughtfully written, with the perfect message. One could say it hits a high note!

MS, as well as sharing the same initials as the author of 'imagine' I also share the same ideals, to quote ( & add to) a line from another toon...

Heaven is a place on earth
I now know this to be true
For I have found the portal
Hidden within these pages blue...

Midnitesun,

I found this to be excellent in so many ways.  It's a beautiful, and hopeful thought, and it's also very well written.

I'm not a person that is easily touched, but this one got too me.

Why do people call you "Kasy".  I remember a Kasy from my old Internet poetry days.  Is that you Hon?

WOW, Bobby, thank you for that!

Each one of you is a unique note
on this blue poetic scale...creating an opus of beauty through diversity.
