Hollowed By Darkness

Darkness fills her mind as everything inside is empty.
Alone in silence, she suffers -- paying for her sins.
Along the shore, crows circle around her in endless flocks
-- blocking out the moon.
Slowly she sheds a tear that slips into the ocean in silence.
No love is left inside of her soul and heart
for she is hollowed by Darkness.

Artic Wind

This is a very nice picture, and the poem is well written.

However, no one is completely hollowed by darkness.

It's Sunday morning, it's a little bit sunny & all was well. Then I read this powerful, dark & very well written piece & I'm going to have to go back to bed, slightly worried. Thanx?

Brrrrrrrrrr, this is indeed chilling to the bone, dear Arctic Wind.

It is no doubt well done, if your intention was just that ... to chill us!

When no love is left inside, darkness can become very disquieting indeed.

I hope whoever or whatever inspired you to write this will quickly find the way back into the Light.

love

The painting is magnificent ~ as well as your poem! I was pondering the title, and came to the realization as to how poetic it truly is. Darkness can swallow up one's heart and soul ~ leaving them empty and hollow.

A fine write!
