First I thought it was the heart
and then I thought of body parts
but now I know it’s just the mind
wherein love resides.

But heaven plays upon the heart
and mind here like a small bit part
to not see, feel, and always know
two halves make up a whole.

When known it makes of life a farce;
why suffer so that lack of half
and entrench the never meant to be
as if I made it so for me.

I never did, you know not me
and so I wait unhappily
for this the present to be past
and find again my other half.

Truth be known I cannot lie
I found it in the sphere of time
that round and round lives in pretend
until that last and final blend.

But of blends the parts must intertwine
and flow together through all time
yet, no, no, no, I’m left un-whole
to find love in the soul!

Could well be seeing as I spent 14 years in Zimbabwe but not long enough to change an entrenched English South African accent.  And now I must ask why you ask?  You may soon be able to hear it at my home page but the word "soon" is such a flexible word.

the perfect ending, dear Helen. A beautiful piece in search of LOVE. It IS, being the essence of life, it simply IS, but we go on searching, somehow not trusting that it can actually BE breathed in, inhaled and exhaled, in a continuous flow of LIFE.

It will be nice to hear your voice!

love and hugs

Thanks Margherita!  My son is the one working on putting audio up so if it's possible it will be done.  You understand so well what I'm saying that it makes writing a pleasure.  Thank you so very much for that.

Oh, my! ~ and to think that I thought that love was found in the "body parts"! lol My mistake!

I always enjoy reading your thoughts! ~ and now I have learned that love is found in the soul! ~ Go figure!   Love you! ~ from my soul to yours!

Oh dear Linda you do make me laugh and I surely do need to.

It's a progression, you know.  All things lead to the soul (actually the "spirit" but "soul" has better connotations to it) and believe you me when spirits unite, body parts ... hmm? ... I guess "play their part" is explicit enough.  One can surely know when bodies unite without the spirit playing its part - yes, one can know!

Dear Jo, You just rest and get better soon.  I's lovely to see you here though and I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.  I've missed you.
