     Healing Moon

These grand-primal hills…
patient sentinels
of pristine serenity
and ‘Deep-Time’
  splendor,
loft far above
the mordant world
of smoky ennui
and man’s infinitely
grasping discontent,
providing a perfect
winter evening’s
fine reclusion,
to await a healing
  moon.

I especially like your description of the mountains:

"loft far above
the mordant world
of smoky ennui
and man’s infinitely
grasping discontent,"

Well done! And if I wrote, I'd wish I wrote that too!

I have another interpretaion of this abbreviation... I WISH I WAS THERE !

Bruce, the mental pictures you are able to paint with your pen always make me want to visit... I am becoming a virtual tourist wandering the landscape of your imagination

Delightful, dear Bruce!
It is a privilege to be so "one" with Nature, you and your poetry are precious.

Good Morning! Bruce-- This is a very lovely post you got here, I really LIKE IT!

All your poems are so descriptive, that really makes us see what you are writing about, and how we can all join you in seeing what you are seeing!

Secondhanddreampoet,

This is a good and graphic picture of nighttime in the winter woods.

Do your surroundings really look like that, Bruce...
(how far away from me did you say you were?)
