I know it's not like you two to do things by half
But have me hunt and kill the fattest calf?
To be the centrepiece of the biggest feast
That this town has ever seen?
And you're going to invite everyone you've ever known
And sit amongst them all like the King and Queen enthroned
And just because my brother's coming home?

Oh yeah,
There's going to be no expense spared,
A free bar, we're going to feast on whole roasted suckling sows
With apples in their mouths
And there's going to be entertainment
Like musicians and magicians there and
A whole load of acrobats and various other circus acts
All vaulting and somersaulting through the air.
And all this for someone who said they didn't really particullary care.
Who went off to seek his fortune elsewhere.

Now he's coming back without a penny to his name.
Someone who always played you like you were a game
Who only ever called you up when he needed you to give him something
And always knew you'd end up giving it and in to him.
What about me...?

To Be Continued...

Yippee! Another one of your creative, imaginative tales! I already am enjoying this period piece! I'll be looking out for Part II.

Giving you a big smile and a Valentine's Day hug,

Linda

Well yes that one is indeed tough to understand from the brother's point of view ...
Well done!
Bringing this one back to associate it to the second part ...
