Whisper Softly
By Paul Wilson

Whisper softly the winds will
carry your words far
Shout from the mountaintops
your words will echo back to where you are

Look beyond the clouds above
into the genesis of tomorrow’s birth
Close your eyes to yesterdays death
live your life for all it’s worth

Cast your hopes and dreams
upon a midnight star
The opportunity to change
where you’re going…who you are

Let the rain cleanse your soul
let the Sun nurture you with love
Spread your wings and fly forever free
like a dove the bird of peace from above

Come again some cool Spring morn
fly upon the winds of time
Whisper softly words anew
forever captured in rhyme

~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~

Dear Paul, these are truly beautiful words and they touched my heart.

It is timely too. And then it's just an hour before midnight, I might give it thought now!

love

"Just learning, so please be patient with me.I just try too write with feelings from my heart and hope that my poems help too make things better in some way for the people that read them. "

Paul I copied your critique message in here for this reason: This one was definitely written from the heart & that is just where it hit me. It is so beautiful it almost moved me to tears, and yes, I am a whole lot better off now having read it...serious applause for this my friend and whatever you do, keep posting....Many thanks

John

Paul~
I saw the title to this one last evening,
and saved it for this morning to read~

Oh my ... I am ever pleased to read this beauty~

How beautifully you ink your thoughts~
I am particularly fond of 'whispers'~

Have a beautiful day, poet~

effjayel...It's been awhile since I saw my critique message, I wrote that about 3-4 years ago. Even though I feel like I have improved in my writting, I still feel like I have a long way to go to measure up to some of the great poets here.

So glad you liked this poem and could get something out of it. When I write I try my best to relate to the person that is gonna read it. Alot of times I try to become one with the reader and feel what others are going thru be it happy or sad feelings.

Again thanks a bunch for reading and your moving reply...Paul
