Wynter's Storm

Emotions tell me to just give up.
It's hard to hold back tears.
Each day becomes a  force' gainst will,
tired of the now wasted years.

Not happy with the words be shared,
some meanness eroding the mood.
No matter how hard the trying is,
life's plans become subdued.

Pretending for others that all is well
when truth is held inside.
Exploding when the day is done,
when this heart lays in divide.

Another year has passed without,
aloneness becoming the norm.
Forever seems a long, long time
to wait out this Wynter's storm.

Sorry Tom, but life  keeps building walls for me right now, when I  was almost free of them. Thanks for reading

Dear Maureen, this hurts very much, may your storm be tamed by the touch of warm heart light.

Your write is powerful.

love and hugs

I can well relate to your words, Maureen, but just maybe forever can be as long as we decide it should be.  If forever was only a day the storm would already be over.  The snow might stay around for a bit but it's just to let us know where we've come from.

Wishing you sunny days after the storm.

Sadly, I can truly relate (especially) to the first four
lines in this effectively emotive 'write!'...

you are most assuredly not 'alone' in these feelings,
Ms. M.!

[Unfortunately, I believe that an ever increasing
number of us have found ourselves thrust into
  similar circumstances mid this "Runaway
  American Dream"]

Like Chekov's Winter...it seems perpetual...

applause for this 'penning!'
