there will always be the rincon water
that made me crave more indigo
than the sun could wring
from any proper patronizing

and your eyes sometimes
when your gypsy is out jogging
and you are using the tubes again
to make smooth sign languages

you knew be better then than now
but that was just a moment ago
before you were above my wanting
with your gloves on pause

the hesitation of you is lovely
like a sip when one is thirsty
and we both know of the rivers
that are just around the corner

of someone's secret highway 101

This is as cool a write
as a long winding road
that holds a secret pool
of water...on the secret
side of 101

That deep-drink road
curved,
with salt-water footprints
tattooed upon his mind

The fog of desire
lingers,
when a southern hand
with a young man’s pen

scribbles indigo notes
in the sand.

Enjoyed this, D.  It made me smile...
