Empty bird nest yawns

longing for feathery breasts

to cuddle 'neath leaves

Margherita, I can only imagine what Toerag's rascallion reply would be if he were to come across this post. lol

I found this clever and somewhat nostalgic as one of my little birds has left the nest.

Simply beautiful!

Love 'n hugs,

Linda

Thank you for your loving comments, dear Joyce and dear Linda ... you make me wonder about the rascallion Toerag reaction, but he never peeked in on any of my posts, there is no risk!

hugs to both

Margherita,

The idea of the yawning nest is very good.  I like it.

I enjoyed the photo and the write!
Perhaps, from a pure syllable count, the last line has one too many...maybe, leave out 'to'?
I love birds, and keeping track of empty nests is a hobby, as there are many 'recyclers' in the bird world!

Thank you dear Bobby and dear Kacy for reading and commenting so kindly. Yes you are right Kacy ... to make the syllable count correct I could have said "hug" but I prefer "cuddle" so I changed "behind" into "neath" ... the "tune" doesn't satisfy me completely, but I hope it gives the idea ...

Enjoyed...reminded me of something I told my girlfriend now that she's back in Chicago...I told her that her blanket was lonely folded up in the closet and was missing her and wanted to make her warm...She said what about me...James

Dear James, thank you.
That was a tender thing to say to your love ... and of course she received a satisfying answer from you too regarding your heart's longing, no doubt!

love
