I read this poem with a very interesting feeling. I had my first taste of sake on 1/27/08, in a friend's home. It was raining outside and the sake, I have read many times from your poem, was cold and flavorless. I wonder why you like it.

A glass of cold sake
Paled the mountain
In winter rain

Huan Yi,

What you say is true.  I love good sake, warm or cold.

Lovely little poem.

Tried it in the '60's...didn't much care for it. Haven't tried it since.

Like your write much better.
