The Next Wave

Oceans are always trying to catch you –
they never try to run away –
(have you ever stood on the shore and seen a wave go the other way?)
Love is like that –
and sometimes just as hard to hold,
as is a wave.
It comes at you, relentlessly,
washes over,  and away,
leaving you standing alone,
waiting. . . for the next,
wave.

Jwesley,

Very true.  The waves pound on the shore, demanding attention.  You can't escape them.  LOves like that.

The ocean wants us back.

Hard to hold, yep...trying to hold onto love would be like trying to hold onto the ocean, the wind, the rain....it comes and goes as it pleases...for our benefit but not a pleasure under our control...James

...and when you catch the right wave, surf it all the way in...

2/3 of the Earth is water & so are we and that's why man has always had a certain affinity with the sea.

Loved this...
