Dora's Baby

She was just as surprised as I
when she got pregnant at forty five,
having just finished raising a
daughter on her own, putting her
through school, the usual dancing
and surfing lessons and now she was
looking forward to living alone.
Pretty soon there will be a brand new
baby making itself known in her home,
so much for relaxation and living alone.

James,

Good for Dora.  Older women make excellent mothers.

This is well written, and fun.

Well, I guess that would suck in a way that you don't get a break and relax, lol there is some humor in this piece!

but hey!, she's got a baby in the making! lol

So much for relaxation indeed!

Thanks for the enjoyed write!

Well done James...some surpises I can do without...wouldn't even want to be starting over again...but, a look at the bright side I guess...I'd only be in my 40's again...hmmmm.

Enjoyed this one very much, dear James, and smiled at your last remark!

My grandmother had her last child at 48!! And in those times!! I know she felt embarassed by this, but she thanked God for the blessing and it was a baby-girl who became the sunshine of the family ...

Every baby is a divine blessing.

love
