Time still to come is like heaven above but I’m turned now like meat in an oven to face square on the heat of evil permeating the air that I breathe. And to breathe is to feel snakes and lizards, the fangs of a monster grotesque, and the slashes and stabs of a devil wrapped up in crudity and cruelty that silently spits obscenities as if I cannot hear. There’s hatred and vile and dastardly wiles lying guarded in treacherous eyes thinking perhaps I’m a witch on a broom able to see from a vantage point what happens when I’m not around. But of punches and blows like lightening bolts meant to unbalance the wise evil is not one to know wisdom is greater and more powerful than a woman who wants to move out. Wisdom, you see, cocoons and protects when chaos erupts all around but can it be said it’s a true friend when time still to come like a fantasy? Helen / 2 February 2008 |

Gosh, I am impressed once again, dear Helen, by the power of your words. I think wisdom is our best friend in whatever situation, but sometimes the little inner voice suggests to relax and sit in the dark projecting colored fantasies that might help find the way into the light again. Thank you all so much for reading and for commenting. Evil comes in many forms but I see it and know it is there. Linda, perhaps "innocence" is what enables a person to see more clearly but like a child it needs a protector. All I have in that regard is "wisdom" but it's not enough, not nearly enough. |
