from the other side of maybe
searching for something

only your eyes can find
in the empty ashtrays of want
while hiding under the tree of life
yearning for the answers

I found your excuses
with day dreams packed neatly
in a tray of pick me ups
waiting for the signal

of it's ok you can do this
because your smile had
captured my heart while waiting
for the long goodbye

yet knowing... goodbye is but a memory

Your writing always seems so private, I always feel like I'm intruding when I read it but, that's why I love it, we are privlidged to be allowed in...
