When boughs break in Gale’s stormy tantrums,
leaving us with rubble and rivers of waste,
we are yet thankful
for scenic streams
and a gentle whisper-breeze.
For each cloudburst and windstorm
underscores the Truth,
we are all connected
as One.
The butterfly that wings itself
over a rare desert infloresence
releases the flower scent-essence,
much as the winds send a leaf aloft
to ride the airstreams encircling Gaia,
that each of us may know and cherish
the unique beauty of a single petal
or solitary leaf.

youre quite welcome
its a mixed blessing
isnt it?
the storm really is gorgeous
if youre out of harms way
i often wonder if the trees somehow pardon them too

Even the fallen ones are not lost
as they serve a purpose in the big scheme of things.
I think your wind is headed my way today!
Enjoyed your writing, as always.

I love the global vision and philosophical insight born upon butterfly wings and stormy winds.

Very beautiful, dear Kacy!

This lovely poem makes me think of the "butterfly effect" in chaos theory, the concept that the flickering of butterfly's wings could possibly cause changes in atmosphere beginning or not beginning a series of events. In your poem, you begin with the end result and move back to the butterfly. Beautiful.

Very, very beautiful. dear Lady.

I read this one to my daughter this morning.
And I explained those verses to her. Since I started as "imaging this," After I have done, she asked "where is the rainbow?" I didn't expect this. So where is the rainbow? My dear Lady?

Always beautiful and love the read.
have a wonderful day.

another most fine Gaia stewardship 'write!':

I am especially fond of:

“For each cloudburst and windstorm
underscores the Truth,
we are all connected
as One”

And:

“The butterfly that wings itself
over a rare desert infloresence
releases the flower scent-essence,
much as the winds send a leaf aloft
to ride the airstreams encircling Gaia,
that each of us may know and cherish
the unique beauty of a single petal
or solitary leaf.”

Applause!!
