and the cowboy announced 'Ladies, gents, get your bets on, throw your money in my stetson, we've got somethin' to show to you all. See, I don't like this kid's face and he don't know his place so we're goin' to have ourselves a lil' duel.'

So it came to be, it was 'High Noon outside Wetherspoon's' They began menacingly starin' each other in the eye. People stopped passing by, just stood and rubbernecked with a morbid fascination. This'll be a piece of conversation, as two men fought to be thought to be the best, to be the last. To not belong in the past. To be taught in all the future schools. To be the bigger fish in the smallest pools. 'Cause this was the Wild West Midlands' and them was the rules.

There was much speculation as to the final declaration of who the winner might be. Some were behind the cowboy, some went for the kid, but no-one could quite agree.

Those that placed bets went home to get their children and pets this was something that everybody wanted to see.

Wolverhampton took a deep breath.

Who'd be the first to quench their thirst?

For the finality of fatality

The impending ending

The possibility of death.

it was then that the police arrived and arrested them both for being drunk and disorderly.

THE END.

Well Simon, I certainly was pleased that I didn't have long to wait for Part III. You were mighty quick on the draw! lol

I wasn't prepared for your surprise ending!

"it was then that the police arrived and arrested them both for being drunk and disorderly.

THE END."

~ but it got a laugh and a half out of me!

Happy trails!

Dear Divine Chaos, Arctic Wind, RDB & EA,

Thank you all for reading & commenting on the rhyming nonsense that I churn out. All of your comments mean an awful lot to me and thank you so much for them. I hope the end wasn't too abrupt and/or disappointing, I wanted to keep it all non-violent a) because I don't think I can convincingly write in that style & b) It wouldn't have been right or rightfully allowed anyway...
LOL &
Regards,

Simon...
