Thanks Sy

An old comment passed by my way
Bringing a thought of you today
I lingered at your page awhile
The writing there brought me a smile

As verses caused my soul to stir
I marveled at how good you were
And as each line I read again
I thanked the heart that moved that pen

For one who gave our souls a lift
By sharing of his special gift
And I knew from that time I spent
Your gift was truly heaven sent

So thank you poet for the time
You gave to us in gentle rhyme
Of simple words with thoughts so deep
And bless you now in peaceful sleep

Steve, that was an exceptionally sweet "thank you" for our beloved Seymour the Sonneteer.

"And as each line I read again
I thanked the heart that moved that pen"

Stephen, you  do not post often but when you do I always read you if I happen to be on line. Good poem and I thank you, "late"
