    Dream Patches

Listen to the Summer
moon singing for the
  rolling sea…

Taste all the colors
huddling in the
mists of an ancient
  Autumn forest…

Keep company with
the clear Winter
  stars…

Feast on the scent
of the first Spring
  rain…

they ask for nothing!

Attempt not…to count
the sand grains on the
'shores’ of life;
the thunderheads
hanging in an endless
  sky;
nor the rain-tapping
drops on your window
  panes…
for we have enough
  enumerations.

Do not try to pace and
‘package’ the wind
nor the sunlight …
for we have sufficient
  commodities.

Simply slice off a cloud...
(to patch your wounded
  dreams)
and let in more light,
from the grand cosmic void
of Nature’s lucent ‘truths,’
to illuminate this darkling
  world!
                 ~
[remembering Seymour (from
whom I drew fine inspiration!)]

Secondhanddreampoet.

Not too bad.

I don't do wounded dreams.  If they are  not realized, they are forgotten.  It's as simple as that.

I'm shallow that way.

I think this is beautiful and a poem all in its own.

I think you created a smile on the face of a very fine man.

In a world of few good surprises -- this is marvelous:

"Simply slice off a cloud...
(to patch your wounded
  dreams)"

What a fine write!
