Bed of Roses
by Linda L. Dowd

Drink the magic of fantasy's store,
in the Land of Forevermore.
Sate your soul in the ecstasy,
of love, and laughter, and revelry.

O'er troubled bridges, may you leap,
and with the angels ~ may you sleep.
While all is blessed ~ both near and far,
in your land of Shangri-La.

May manna be your food divine,
and nectar brewed to honey wine.
And all you feel ~ think, see and do,
be reflections of the god in you.

May moon and stars shine down on thee,
in your dreams of fantasy,
as you lie still, in sweet repose,
on petal bed of love's red rose.

“We are borne of star dust,
and to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Spellbinding, wonderful words, dearest Linda!!

A true masterpiece. I am sure that dear Seymour will be moved deeply in "receiving" your message of beauty and love ... I firmly believe he is delighted in this very moment, while he absorbs the scent of love you sent out here.

United in love for dear Seymour.

YOU are an angel.  This is a beautiful poem for Seymour.  I did not know of his passing until now.

Lots of Love and Light your way,

Kris

Brings tears to my eyes, Linda, as I cannot imagine more fitting words for our Sy.  Not tears of sadness, but tears of tender joy for Sy knowing fully he has found that illusive treasure he has spoken of so many times in his poetry.  Thank you for the beautiful penning, sweet Angel.   KBHBLY always.........lily jo

Only an angel could write
such loving words to another.
Ever since seeing Titia's
photo tribute to Sy along
with a picture of PiP's
beloved Chipmunk, I sit here
with tears rolling down my
cheeks. What a loss for
this wonderful place of
friendship.

Love to you, Marti

Thank you all for being a part of this post for pip's resident sonneteer ~ which he will continue to be.

~ Lindsay, I think your posting of a reply 5 times, is a record for one of my poems! I hope you get your posting glitches straightened out. ~ Hmm, but then again, perhaps not! lol That was especially sweet of you to say ~ 5 times over!

Love to you all,

Linda

Lingering here for a while once again in the beauty you conveyed with your words, dear Linda Angel!

... and thinking of dear Seymour, intimately knowing that he is fine.

Love and hugs.
