That this write of itself seems a spell
in some manner or form not from here.
Words a-scattered about quite pell-mell
yet by some strange design sounding clear
thus unknown what it is that they hide
'til the doors to that realm open wide.

There are clues left behind all world-wide
cryptic phrases in tongues hard to spell
etched in stone or on animal hide
giving proof that some others passed here
while some meanings appear to be clear
such assumptions are oft' made pell-mell.

Random acts, secret signs, all pell-mell,
let the eyes of your mind open wide,
see illusion beginning to clear
one more layer removed by the spell.
An awakening's happening here
will you face it or still choose to hide?

We feel safest when we choose to hide
and deny that this life is pell-mell.
When the spell manifests itself here,
we're too vulnerable, left open wide.
Even if for a very brief spell,
maybe not everything should be clear.

Take a breath, let your head start to clear.
We'd not know what it is that you'd hide.
Incantations do not make a spell,
they're just words said aloud, all pell-mell.
So much truth can be spread far and wide,
far more than can relate now and here.

Think again about what brought you here,
to this point what's abundantly clear
is you wish to see eyes open wide
all the mysteries life strives to hide
wherein everything happens pell-mell
which we'd all like to pause for a spell.

Thus so ends this short spell all pell-mell
not as clear as I'd like it to, here
where still hide behind doors open wide.

Thanks, apparently I didn't do my homework that well( I goofed up the tercet ), but I'll be back to fix it. Meanwhile I'll work on those wishes, lol.

and ibuprofen and, in earlier times, alcohol
and other recreational drugs.

Thank you, and I don't blame you for not trying it. You basically have to have a masochistic streak about yaaaaaaaaaaaaay wide, or lots of good meds.
