It’s a mental fight to not ascend
up and unto love
but the losers yet are winners
and the waiting justified
when opened is the mind
to receive encouragement.

Not to hurry but indeed
time can stretch the will
and flatten every vestige
like a bug with the force
of moving violations.

Love speaks like one I know
straight into my soul
but still my name not three times
and it’s like the learning stopped
before the understanding.

One, two, three!  Oh, glory be,
it’s not like quantum physics
and yet perhaps it is
when love defies the physical
nestled comfortably
in many little boxes.

Little boxes, little boxes,
but then I see there’s love
tied, bound, and confined,
in the box of mind!

I especially like:

"time can stretch the will";

"...love defies the physical
nestled comfortably
in many little boxes";

and:

"...there’s love
tied, bound, and confined,
in the box of mind!"
