A daffodil doesn't know
It grows
Deep beneath the Winter snows.
And when in Spring
It nods it's head.
It doesn't think it should be dead.

And when the sun is @ its height
And is chased back home
By the night
It hides
From all the passer-bys
Waiting
For the sun to rise.

Simon,

Try to avoid the use of ampersands, they stand out too much, and distract too much from the poem's meaning.

Other than that it’s very nice.

Just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who has not only read, but commented on this.

Passing Shadows: I'm really pleased that you can relate to this, I try to write things that not only ammuse me but also mean something to me on some level ( I'm sure that's the case with every submission here) to have that vindicated is a pleasure indeed. Thank you

And I could say the same to TomMark, your affirmation means a great deal to me, thanx.

Bobby Jordan: I think you must know how I feel about your work & your every comment I do see as a special honour & thank you for it.

Arctic Wind: Thank you, it is indeed a privlidge & I am very much loving it here.

JamesMichael: I really enjoy your enjoyment thanx...

And thank you to everyone who spends some time on this site...
