'I Have A Dream'
~*Marge Tindal*~

He believed in the dream.
His purpose well-taken.
The world of his people repeatedly shaken.

He had a dream.
Learn what he tried to teach.
A dream of peace within our reach.

He had a dream,
far from being realized yet.
Peace among us all, no cause for regret.

We still dream his dream
to rise to the call.
Walk the land together ... with liberty and justice for all.

~*~

*Excerpt from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's, speech.

I Have a Dream ...
"...that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.' I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today."

~In tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.~
*With the sad realization that we aren't a heck of a lot closer
to achieving racial equality, even after all these years*

~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~

A timely tribute to a man who stood head and shoulders above most men. A man to be admired ~ and remembered. He is one who made the world a better place for having been born into it.

God bless him ~ and you.

How fitting, Marge.  God knows we're all equal in His eyes and that counts the most.

Marge Tindal,

You nailed it Hon.  This is excellent work.  God bless us all.

My beloved brother-in-law, now deceased, was their for MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech, and I was there in spirit.

Marge - so good to see you posting again.  Hope the world is now a brighter place for you as you make it for us with your art work.

A fine tribute.  If you ask me about dreams I will tell you that they take forever to manifest but if you don't dream it, you can't have it!

No, we are not there yet and a lot of water
has flowed under the bridge since that tragic
day...just a few years back...or so it seems.

Thank you for this.  It is always wonderful to hear his words and vision.  When his dream is complete, what a wonderful world this will be!

Thank you for this, dear Marge!

Sometimes it's hard to hold to the dream, but if we want to survive, we must keep it alive!!

Wonderful tribute!

love and peace
