Monday A problem arose... There was no food to eat and so... I went outside To be alone and pray that God would grant my needs... and while I was on the ground with bent knees and bowed head... I picked some salad and dug some worms. I boiled and ate the salad Then went fishing Tonight... I will dine on my catch while I wait for God's response. Tuesday A problem arose... The cat's food bowl was becoming empty much too quickly. I discovered that a mouse had been stealing the cat's food. Sometimes from the bag Sometimes from the bowl and had been storing it in the corner of a kitchen drawer. and so... I placed the drawer on the floor and began using it as a secondary food bowl I have not seen the mouse since. Perhaps he has moved away. But... One bowl or the other always has food. Wednesday A problem arose... I began missing my mandolin after having to sell it. I had spent many hours plucking it's eight strings. and so... I comforted myself by playing the ukulele with my eyes crossed. Thursday A problem arose... The doorbell was broken and so... I substituted the broken doorbell with a photograph of a butterfly. If you touch it's wings... It lets out a scream. and even though the screaming cannot be heard by human ears... The butterfly is much prettier than the broken doorbell... and works every bit as good. Friday I sit in thought... waiting for the next problem to arise... For this is the place where they always appear. |

Right. This is getting boring. Every time you post something I absolutly LOVE it!!! You always make me think of Charles Bukowski- one of my favourite writers. Don't know if this is intentional but it is a compliment indeed. |

Simon I had not heard of Bukowski...so I did a quick search. I still need ha (((need))) to look at some of his "works"...but I did see that he was considered "The Poet Laureate of Skid Row". Yes, Quite a compliment! ::smiles:: Maybe I will one day be "The Poet Laureate of the Hollow" or such Thank you for your replies. They are sought and craved and cherished. |

Thank you all for taking the time to read...and respond. My "writing" and the "response" are very closely related. When one ceases...so does the other. ::shrugs:: Go figure |
