Hypnotic daydreams in oil slick mists
The wheel has become unhinged
Swaying and bowing in the cool spring breeze
Melancholy moods are dressed in suits
A heart worn upon a chain falls from a broken clasp
Or was it from a feeble grasp
Either way the drum still reproduces its eccentric love
The pitter-patter of caterpillars cross the zebra's stripes
One of our suits has turned from yellow to red
Yet all the eyes see is green
No mariachi band is playing
Nor was there a break in the reception
Out suit sees no caterpillars upon the zebra's back
Now these fuzzy faces have stained the zebra's spine
A red hue is now visible
Our suit's melancholy mood has returned
Supposedly, all is right with the world.

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

Very lovely!

You write very well, the grip of melancholy is deeply felt.

Love,
