Lace and Summer Skin, Forever

Beyond the sky,
I feel how thought arrives
with a plan, then stilled
by a moment, is hypnotized.

I'll seek the sweet of it,
it's laughter,
and leave behind the bitter,
remembering how it honed the fruit
to make it taste much better.

When I appreciate
the twists and turns
that brought me to this river,
watching it now is how I know
it will flow for ever and ever.

For the cost is made of attitude
as the price of life is holy,
if I add it up I'll know for sure
that each day is love's story.

It's winter now, some tell me,
though my lace hangs in the sun
gathering fragrance on a drying line.
Can you see how I have won?

Hi Martie/Sis

For the cost is made of attitude
as the price of life is holy,
if I add it up I'll know for sure
that it’s made from a love story.

beautious...

I don't know Martie... it is I who
have tried to learn from you... Don't
worry, I'll get it one of these days.

Of all of the stanzas, this
is the sweetest...

quote:
Seek the sweet of it,
its laughter,
I'll leave behind the bitter,
remembering how it honed the fruit
to make it taste much better.

This wears like gossamer,
and yet provides a warmth
that is rarely provided by touch.

Simply lovely, Martie, and this so meaningful -

"When I appreciate
the twists and turns
that brought me to this river,
watching it now is how I know
it will flow for ever and ever."
