At the Crossroads of Infinity

Isle of View *

Infinitely more beautiful
Than the isle of Corfu,
And that is no bull
I swear it's true.

Closer to me
Than the isle of Man,
I want to visit you
As often as I can.

You are far prettier than
The isle of Tenerife,
Yoyr stunning natural beauty
Almost defies belief.

And the only comparison
Between you & the isle of Malta,
Is that you are
My Rock of Gibraltar,

The Wailing Wall
The seven Wonders,
I've seen them all
Even been Down under

L.A, New York, Athens, Rome,
Are all O.K.
But they're not home.

There are many places in the world
That I can be in a matter of hours,

But all of them lack
What keeps bringing me back,
To these shores of ours.

No matter where I have been
I've never seen,
One so fair as you
As I hold your hand
I hope you understand,

How much I Love You *

This is really well done!
You could be speaking of EA (whom btw I miss these days, but I doubt she has requested a love song, though she would deserve it!) or you speak of these pages of blue. I do think this is a kind of island, where we love to visit.
Enjoyed!

Love,

Thanks Margherita, no EA did not request a love song/poem. I wrote this in response to EA's post about topping on a pizza. When She read the post, She said I should post it in open. To clarify, it is not about my Island (UK) it was written for/about my wife. I was trying to say that no matter where I go or the wonders I have seen in the world, nothing compares to Her no matter how spectacular & that includes Alaska & The Grand Canyon !

Glad you enjoyed it, Cheers  John

John, one would wish that their significant other, also, would always feel the way you expressed.

Happy New Year... and thank you for your very kind response.

John, I've been away from these pages of blue and just now noticed that you posted in Open (as I had requested) this lovely poem you had written for your wife. I'm so pleased that others can appreciate your talent and the depth of love for her.

Giving each of you a big hug,

Linda
