Four years, ten months, eighteen days...
Yes I kept count, I always do
You tell me that it's over
No, wait it's not, you are so confused

It's time for me to start over
Time for me to live for me
No longer about what you need
Time for me to be free

How many times I've done this dance
To the same stupid song
Perhaps this time it won't hurt as much
Or the pain won't last as long

How am I to remain your friend
When I no longer like the person I see
Why do you get to express your feelings?
Yet, tell me just let things be....

In case you didn't notice
A new year is on it's way
Don't know about you but I'm ready
To celebrate a new day

So here is to 2008
Time for a fresh new start
Picking up the pieces
Of what once was my heart

It's okay you know though
I'll look back on this stronger than I am now
Yes, the new year will give me strength
I'll find the courage somehow

In time this wound will close
I'll be smiling again
I'm not so sure I can the same for you
My dear "friend."

Time for me to be free

May you continue to dance, in freedom and grace. This is indeed the right time to get rid of old schemes. You can be your own choreographer and you can choose the melody on your own.

Love and Happy New Year!

May this year bless you with the courage you seek.

there just comes a point where you have to do something when you realize things will never change or be good the way they are

more power to you Amy and a Happy New Year!

I wish you all the best. I know what it is like to have to start all over.
