Within Our Spirits We Know Love

There are lessons born from memories past
so many things in life we have been taught
regrets and joys mixed with happiness and tears
but through it all, added strength they have brought.

And here we are, each having a heart laced
chambered in passion, in shadows of sighs
in war of emotions, that play out their scenes
serenity, in search of, each morning we rise.

Stinging of tears, too often felt in pain
hearts mend to move past sadness and sorrows,
to see clearly through the ominous clouds
seeking better and brighter tomorrows.

And here we are, no yesterdays in play,
the reviews of the past, silenced by time
adjustments, changes pen tipped to flowing
dancing to tunes of life, new ones in rhyme.

With each written word, souls begin to heal
yesterday’s gone and is held in the past,
but the future will be that much better
through experience our lives will be cast.

And here we are, in skillfulness of words
embraced in shadows, each night to suspend
two souls to be guided, in passions new
to be treasured, each, our thoughts we transcend.

Having lived and learned, knowledge is power
into unknown destinies we will roam,
courage and strength living within our spirits
loving ourselves, we are never alone.

Such a beautiful, healing write, dear Maureen and dear Donna!

A fine blending of hearts and styles, from two of my favorite Pips poets.

I am in total disagreement here M, you have always been a fine writer, you forget who it was that I consider to be a huge mentor to me back in those days....
