MissUnderstood I used to wish upon a star, pick petals "loves me, loves me not" but times have changed and I have aged. This mind holds less than what's forgot. I'm deeper now than use to be, my world has left that once upon. The empty fills the glass that's half remembering my first " Dear John". Of course not John, it was a Jane, with thirty years between those lines. A pizza box taped to the door penned in red in word designs... Too many years, I'm still in hold, a pattern wasting what could be. I used to wish upon a star and love the only one for me... Or so I thought, then younger when " forever" meant such happiness. No holding back, no worried soul, just sharing all in one's possess. Holidays have lost their glow, the doing for, now not at hand replaced with doubts on branches hung and life for me has lost its grand. I hear the words, those others tell. My glass is stained with overfill, tears of once upon a life that soak me with the word "until"... Words, just words that disappear as time does best to mar the good. I don't even know where the words come from anymore, Margherita...I am just very tired. (of course having the flu or whatever this thing is for the last 8 or so days and being stuck inside hasn't helped) but that too will eventually leave me~~  and thanksM |

'This mind holds less than what's forgot' M, that is very true. However,I believe the mind is like the clipboard on a Pc & holds stuff temporarily for sorting as we sleep & then discards the unimportant bits to make room for more thoughts to fight their way in. The painful memories are discarded and the really important events are stored within the chambers of the heart to be retrieved when needed, but you already knew that...I really enjoyed this one, please don't stop (writing or wishing on the stars) John |
